Heritage Museum

The Mission of the Smith County Heritage Museum is to foster an appreciation for the the rich history of Smith County, it's land, people, and industry.
 

​As a public, not-for-profit institution, the Smith County Heritage Museum strives to provide a museum in which to collect and preserve the history of all the communities of Smith County.

The Smith County Heritage Museum is located in the former W.E. Stephens Building located on Third Avenue. A large public parking lot is located immediately in front of the museum. The museum is handicap accessible.

Visiting Hours are:

Thursday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Friday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Saturday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The museum is free to visit although donations are appreciated.

The Smith County Heritage Museum has a well stocked gift shop with a wide variety of Smith County Tennessee related items. Caps, Beanies, Cards, Coffee Mugs to name a few. And our annual Smith County Christmas ornaments featuring a Smith County historical structure.
